These two are so fun. I had a great time getting to know them. I had worked with Kaitlyn’s mother for a few years and always liked her so when Kaitlyn reached out I was thrilled to work with them.
Kaityln’s parents have a space at Leisure Lake Family Campground and when she brought up the idea of using that location for their engagement session, I had an immediate spark of creativity. One of my favorite shots from that session was our time in the rowboat; even though it was muddy, it was totally worth it!
David told me he wasn’t a fan of having photos taken, but I think I won him over in the end because he was actually kind of bummed we were finished — that is the best feeling! Plus, they got to shotgun beer at the end (something they are totally going to have to recreate on their wedding day).
Kaityln just adores sunflowers and their October wedding will be filled with them I’m sure. I can’t wait to see the beautiful, rustic decor they come up with for their wedding at one of my favorite barns — SWJ’s Emerald Hills in Edmore.
